Basketball Game Preview: North Mesquite Stallions vs. Sunset Bison

The North Mesquite Stallions will challenge the Sunset Bison at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

North Mesquite is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Spruce: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that North Mesquite blew Spruce out of the water with a 57-24 final score. The win continues a trend for the Stallions in their matchups with the Timberwolves: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Sunset's and Life Oak Cliff's contest on Thursday was close at halftime, but Sunset turned on the heat in the second half with 33 points. Sunset blew past Life Oak Cliff 47-26.

Sunset has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.8 points over those games. As for North Mesquite, their victory bumped their record up to 17-15.
