Basketball Recap: Ridgeview Comes Up Short

Ridgeview lost against Deer Creek-Mackinaw back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Ridgeview Mustangs fell just short of the Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs by a score of 68-66. The Mustangs were up 43-29 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Ridgeview's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Deer Creek-Mackinaw, their victory bumped their record up to 10-17.

Ridgeview and Deer Creek-Mackinaw could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Ridgeview (ranked 513th) will meet Lexington (ranked 186th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Deer Creek-Mackinaw will square off against El Paso-Gridley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday down 332 places (450 vs. 118).
