Baseball Recap: New London Takes a Loss

New London lost against St. Paul last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats lost 25-10 to the Flyers. The loss leaves the Wildcats still looking for their first win of the season.

Oliver Harrison and Gabe Ellis did some serious damage despite the final result: Harrison scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Ellis scored three runs while going 2-for-3. Ellis also put up two doubles, which were his first of the season. Keith Squire was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

New London's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for St. Paul, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New London will host Wellington at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for St. Paul, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Danbury at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
