Game recap: San Juan High School Football Team defeats Monticello

BLANDING, Utah - San Juan (Blanding, Utah) and Monticello (Utah) both received superb games from their defenses, but San Juan was able to break through the stalemate for a 14-0 win.

The Broncos scored on two passing touchdowns to pull out the win.

The lead that San Juan took on a Terrance Tate touchdown pass to Bronz Eldredge with 6:00 remaining in the second quarter stood up for the duration of the game, as neither team managed to score in the second half.

The victory was a step in the right direction for SJ, which was coming off a 21-0 defeat at the hands of Snow Canyon in its previous game. The loss comes after Monticello defeated Whitehorse 68-0 last week.
