Recap: Athenian Owls vs. Valley Christian Vikings
The Athenian Owls scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 81-34 win over Valley Christian on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Athenian has managed all season.
Athenian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Evan Lucas out in front who scored 19 points. The contest was Lucas' 15th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sid Bharath, who scored 14 points.
Athenian is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Valley Christian, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Athenian will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Head-Royce at 6:30 p.m. on January 12th. Head-Royce is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Valley Christian, they will be playing at home against College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
