Basketball Recap: Christian Fellowship Drops Season-High Score on Liberty Christian Academy

On Thursday Christian Fellowship's undefeated season almost came to an end. They skirted past the Liberty Christian Academy Eagles 71-68. Christian Fellowship's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Jake Davis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 52% from the field en route to 36 points and five assists. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Evan Aslanidis was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Willy Mueller, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 23 boards. Mueller is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last 11 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Tommy Meyer, who went 9-for-19 on his way to 19 points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks.

Christian Fellowship's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Liberty Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Christian Fellowship will look to defend their home court on the 12th against Non Varsity Opponent at 7:15 p.m. As for Liberty Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Missouri Military Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
