Baseball Recap: St. Joseph Takes a Loss

St. Joseph was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-1 to the Leechburg Blue Devils. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 17-2 to the Blue Devils when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

St. Joseph saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Zaviolta, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

St. Joseph's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Leechburg, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Blue Devils beat St. Joseph by a score of 7-0 later that day.
