Football Recap: Miller Grove Takes a Loss

Miller Grove entered their game against Columbia on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Wolverines fell 26-20 to the Eagles. The Wolverines lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 34-0 score last time.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Columbia to victory, but perhaps none more so than Czar Daniels, who threw for 190 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Daniels a new career-high in passer rating (163.2).

Miller Grove's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Columbia, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Miller Grove is set to take on their familiar foe South Atlanta at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th. Meanwhile, Columbia will face off against rival Redan at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
