            Alhambra had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Monte Vista on Monday. Everything went the Alhambra Bulldogs' way against the Monte Vista Mustangs as the Alhambra Bulldogs made off with  an  8-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won three contests by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Cameron Millar tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  a single  earned run in four consecutive appearances.

 On the hitting side,  Daniel Rivera-Parra and  Shane Cowperthwaite did most of the damage at the plate:  Rivera-Parra  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-4, while  Cowperthwaite  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance gave  Rivera-Parra a new career-high in  hits.  Morgan Tran was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing  Two bases. while going 1-for-3.
 Alhambra  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  struck out at most five  strikeouts in four consecutive  matchups.
Alhambra's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 6-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Monte Vista,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-6.
 Looking ahead, Alhambra will be playing in front of their home fans against Rodriguez  at 4:00  p.m.  on March 26th. As for Monte Vista, they are taking a road trip to  take on Amador Valley  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Amador Valley will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  victory, something Monte Vista surely won't give up without a fight.
