Baseball Recap: Woodberry Forest Takes a Loss

Woodberry Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Christopher's Saints. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to the Saints when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Maddox Helsley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Henry Dixon also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Woodberry Forest's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for St. Christopher's, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

St. Christopher's will be playing in front of their home fans against Christchurch School at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Woodberry Forest will be paying especially close attention to the Saints' contest: after the Saints faces off against the Seahorses, they'll take on Woodberry Forest again at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
