Basketball Recap: Montville Piles Up the Points Against River Dell

With a playoff win on the line, Montville rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They blew past the River Dell Golden Hawks, posting an 80-53 victory. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 25 points or more this season.

Several Golden Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aditya Pandya, who posted 13 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Pat Sweeny, who put up 11 points.

The win was the third in a row for Montville, bringing their record for this year to 18-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.7 points over those games. As for River Dell, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-14 record.

As of now, neither Montville nor River Dell have any future games scheduled.
