Baseball Recap: Kossuth Comes Up Short

Kossuth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the West Union Eagles, falling 8-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 two weeks ago.

Kossuth's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for West Union, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Kossuth will take on Christian Brothers in a tournament on Friday. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. West Union is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.
