Football Recap: Columbine Comes Up Short on the Road Against Vista Ridge + How To Watch

Columbine had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 24-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vista Ridge Wolves. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Rebels came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Wolves are ranked 45th).

Despite the loss, Columbine still got an impressive performance from Mark Snyder, who rushed for 218 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Snyder really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run.

Colton Camba was the offensive standout of the game as he threw for 117 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 31 yards.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbine will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on ThunderRidge at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Vista Ridge, they will welcome Montbello at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
