Football Recap: Rye Piles Up the Points Against Fox Lane

Rye put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 35-7 victory over the Fox Lane Foxes. Given the Garnets' advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Foxes are ranked 202nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rye to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carson Miller, who threw for 243 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Henry Shoemaker, who picked up 118 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Rye's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Fox Lane, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Rye will welcome Clarkstown North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Garnets will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Fox Lane, they are taking a road trip to challenge Eastchester at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
