Baseball Recap: Port Allegany Wins Going Away Against Otto-Eldred

Port Allegany had won three straight at home, but on Tuesday they bumped their record up to 12-2 to make it four. They put the hurt on the Otto-Eldred Terrors with a sharp 10-4 victory. The win continues a trend for the Gators in their matchups with the Terrors: they've now won nine in a row.

Chase Boyd and Aiden Bliss did most of the damage at the plate: Boyd got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI and one double, while Bliss went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Kellen Veilleux, who went 2-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Port Allegany hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in ten consecutive games.

As for Otto-Eldred, they now have a losing record of 6-7. They have struggled against Port Allegany recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

On Otto-Eldred's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Manning Splain, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Jared Obenrader also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
