Baseball Recap: Coram Deo Academy Comes Up Short

Coram Deo Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Southwest Christian School Eagles, falling 14-2. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 20-2 to the Eagles when the teams met back in April of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Coram Deo Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grant Edens, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Edens hit this season.

Coram Deo Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for Southwest Christian School, they pushed their record up to 6-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

While Coram Deo Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
