Volleyball Recap: Richmond Gets the Win

Richmond posted their closest victory since August 23rd on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Seton Catholic Cardinals 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Red Devils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Richmond had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-20, 15-5.

Jazell James paced Richmond's offense, picking up ten kills. James got some help from Aubrey Scalf and her 24 assists. Nia Jones and Katie Mathena kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Richmond's win bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Seton Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.

Richmond has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Greenwood Christian Academy on the 4th. As for Seton Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against New Palestine on the 4th.
