Recap: Valor Christian Lions vs. Johnson Ferry Christian Academy Saints
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Valor Christian Lions walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 73-17 win over the Saints at home. Valor Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 24 points or more this season.
Alyssa Mulholland was her usual excellent self, scoring 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Geory LaMark, who scored 13 points.
Valor Christian pushed their record up to 15-7 with that win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.8 points. As for Johnson Ferry Christian Academy, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
Valor Christian will take on Pinecrest Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pinecrest Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Valor Christian surely won't give up without a fight. Johnson Ferry Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
