Basketball Recap: Waupun Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Waupun can now relate to. The matchup between Waupun and Lakeside Lutheran didn't end well, with Waupun falling 73-54.

It was another big night for Wes Rahn, who dropped a double-double with 28 points and 18 rebounds for Lakeside Lutheran. The contest was Rahn's 11th in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Brady Wolfram, who shot 45% from the field to rack up 20 points and seven boards.

Waupun's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Lakeside Lutheran, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Waupun does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lakeside Lutheran, they and Lake Mills will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Lakeside Lutheran is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.9 points per game this season.
