Softball Recap: Mathis Pirates vs. Odem Owls
While Mathis's victory against Odem wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates had just enough and edged out the Owls 11-10 on Tuesday. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Owls recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Alyssa Herrera spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and five unearned) runs on 14 hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.
