Recap: Jacksonville Crimsons vs. Decatur Eisenhower Panthers

The Jacksonville Crimsons were the 56-43 winner over the Decatur Eisenhower Panthers when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Jacksonville fell 55-42 to the Panthers on Tuesday. Jacksonville just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.

Jacksonville's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Martinez, who scored 17 points along with two steals. Martinez hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Milan Krusic, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Jacksonville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season. As for Decatur Eisenhower, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-13 record this season.

Jacksonville will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Cyclones at 7:00 p.m. As for Decatur Eisenhower, they will head out on the road to challenge the Railsplitters at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
