Football Recap: Lake Roosevelt Raiders vs. Manson Trojans
Lake Roosevelt and Manson met for a duel on Friday where Lake Roosevelt had to take the L. The Lake Roosevelt Raiders took a hard 42-28 fall against the Manson Trojans. The Raiders lost against the Trojans in their previous head to head back in October of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 42-0 score last time.
Lake Roosevelt's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Champ Louie, who picked up 138 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Louie was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 65 yards. Ivan Alejandre was another key player, throwing for 325 yards and three touchdowns.

Jaxon Teague was his usual excellent self, rushing for 254 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry for Manson. The dominant performance gave Teague a new career-high in rushing yards. Vince Strecker was in the mix too, providing Manson with two touchdowns.
Lake Roosevelt is on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5. As for Manson, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Roosevelt will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Liberty Bell at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th. As for Manson, they will head out to face off against Chelan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Manson is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
