Basketball Game Preview: Alcorn Central Bears vs. North Pontotoc Vikings + How To Watch

The Alcorn Central Bears will head out on the road to square off against the North Pontotoc Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Alcorn Central came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were outmatched by New Site and fell 58-26. The Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-8.

Meanwhile, North Pontotoc entered their tilt with Potts Camp on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Cardinals 65-39. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Vikings had established a 21-point advantage.

North Pontotoc's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Alcorn Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Alcorn Central and North Pontotoc were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in February of 2019, but Alcorn Central came up empty-handed after a 58-57 defeat. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
