Baseball Recap: Legacy Comes Up Short

Legacy dropped their record down to 9-12 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners by a score of 7-5. Surprisingly, this marked the Longhorns' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Easton Lake was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. He has become a key player for Legacy: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 5-11 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Tyson Lake, who went 3-for-4 with two runs.

As for Southeast Career Tech, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games.

On Southeast Career Tech's side, Bruce Trzpis was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI Trzpis has posted since back in March. Nathan Johnson was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run.

While Legacy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
