Baseball Recap: Pendleton County Takes a Loss

Pendleton County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 5-1 to the Petersburg Vikings. The Wildcat were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 10-6.

Pendleton County's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Petersburg, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Pendleton County will venture away from home to square off against Tygarts Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Petersburg, they will head out to face off against Elkins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
