Waccamaw is 8-2 against Georgetown since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, both will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 6:00 p.m. Georgetown took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Waccamaw, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Waccamaw didn't have too much trouble with Aynor as they won 46-30.

Waccamaw's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Olivia Hodo, who posted seven points in addition to eight boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Halina Gregory, who had two points along with seven steals and six assists.

Waccamaw smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Meanwhile, Georgetown was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They had to suffer through a 67-24 loss at the hands of Loris. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Lions are ranked 61st).

Waccamaw's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Georgetown, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.

Everything came up roses for Waccamaw against Georgetown when the teams last played two weeks ago, as the team secured a 79-36 win. Will Waccamaw repeat their success, or does Georgetown have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
