Arvin had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Golden Valley Bulldogs by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 20-25, 25-19, 25-14.

Danitza Moreno paced Arvin's offense, picking up 11 kills. Moreno got some help from Destiny Robles and her 12 assists. Robles was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Despite the loss, Golden Valley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Esmeralda Frausto had 17 assists and 11 digs.

Arvin's victory bumped their record up to 24-8-3. As for Golden Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-17-1 record this season.

Arvin will be playing in front of their home fans against Foothill at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Golden Valley, they will head out to take on Tehachapi at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
