Volleyball Recap: Katz Yeshiva Comes Up Short at Home Against Hebrew Academy

Katz Yeshiva unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to the Hebrew Academy Warriors on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Katz Yeshiva started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-15, 25-15, 25-7.

The victory got Hebrew Academy back to even at 3-3.

Coming up, Hebrew Academy will take on Cushman at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Warriors their first taste of in-conference action this season. Katz Yeshiva will be paying especially close attention to Hebrew Academy's matchup: after Hebrew Academy faces off against David Posnack Jewish Day, they'll take on Katz Yeshiva again at 5:00 p.m. on the 30th.
