Whitefish Bay came tearing into Friday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 42.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Germantown Warhawks 69-53. Given the Blue Dukes' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Warhawks are ranked 107th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Germantown lost, don't look at Danica Gosz. Despite the final result, she went 11 of 19 on her way to 29 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Stocks, who posted three points and six assists.

Whitefish Bay pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.3 points per game. As for Germantown, their defeat ended a 15-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-6.

Whitefish Bay will head out to take on Homestead at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Whitefish Bay knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Homestead likes a good challenge. As for Germantown, they will host Brookfield Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Germantown is facing Brookfield Central at the right time seeing as Brookfield Central is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
