Softball Recap: Forreston Comes Up Short

Forreston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 11-2 to the Orangeville Broncos. That's two games in a row now that the Cardinals have lost by exactly nine runs.

Forreston's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Orangeville, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 19-4.

Looking ahead, Forreston will challenge Winnebago at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Orangeville, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Warren/Stockton at 4:30 p.m.
