Sandy Valley took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Laughlin, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Sandy Valley Sidewinders came out on top in a nail-biter against the Laughlin Cougars on Tuesday, sneaking past 13-12. The Sidewinders' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Sandy Valley's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Laughlin, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
