Basketball Recap: La Grange Skates Past Schulenburg with Ease

La Grange's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 61-25 victory over the Schulenburg Shorthorns. The Leopards have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 34 points or more this season.

La Grange was led to victory by Kylie Trlicek and Campbell Cooper Sg 2027. Trlicek went 8 of 18 en route to 18 points and three steals, while Cooper Sg 2027 went 7 of 13 on her way to 17 points and five rebounds. Trlicek has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more points the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Griffin, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

La Grange was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Schulenburg only racked up seven assists.

Despite the loss, Schulenburg still got an impressive performance from Alana Herzik, who posted seven points.

La Grange's record now sits at 9-7. As for Schulenburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Village the next time they take the court. La Grange will head out to face Village at 3:40 p.m. on Thursday, while Schulenburg will head out to face them at 11:40 a.m. on Friday.
