 San Diego is on  a six-game streak of home losses, Mission Bay a seven-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. After both having extra time off,  both teams will shake off the cobwebs and  take on  one another  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Given that  the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  contest.
 While San Diego couldn't quite beat University City two weeks ago, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the ten-point  defeat they were dealt  back in March. San Diego fell just short of University City by a score of  8-6.
  Diana Martinez was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 3-for-4 with a  home run and a  stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of  Hanna Patterson, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.
 Meanwhile,  after soaring to 12  runs the game before, Mission Bay was a bit more limited  in their  match  back in March. They fell  5-2 to Mission Vista.
  Indy Beesley and  Kiki Sullivan stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Beesley  went 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases and a  double, while  Sullivan  went 2-for-2 with a  double and  an  RBI.  Imanii Poole was another key contributor,  going 1-for-3 with a  triple and a  run.
 San Diego's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Mission Bay, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.
 San Diego suffered a grim  7-1 defeat to Mission Bay  when the teams last played  back in February of 2019. Thankfully for San Diego,  Keira Bucher (who   struck out six batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits (and only one walk)) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
