Baseball Recap: Devon Prep Tide vs. Father Judge Crusaders
Devon Prep extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 2-8 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Father Judge Crusaders. That's two games in a row now that the Tide have lost by just one run.
Chase Lubker put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI.
In other batting news, Alex Hannah made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Those hits were his first of the season.
