Volleyball Recap: Camelback Comes Up Short

Camelback was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Cesar Chavez Champions, falling 3-0. The Spartans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Champions from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-8, 25-15.

Brooke Villaverde paced Camelback's offense, picking up three kills. Villaverde got some help from Izabella Yun and her seven assists.

Camelback's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Cesar Chavez, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8.

Looking ahead, Camelback will face off against Browne at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cesar Chavez, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against South Mountain on the 29th.
