Basketball Game Preview: Kenton Wildcats vs. Bath Wildcats

The Kenton Wildcats will take on the Bath Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Kenton has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since November 30.

Last Saturday, Kenton was beaten by Liberty-Benton 69-22. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 754th, while the Eagles are ranked 116th).

Meanwhile, Bath was able to grind out a solid win over Columbus Grove on Thursday, taking the game 54-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Bath's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Kenton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Kenton strolled past Bath when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a score of 49-30. Will Kenton repeat their success, or does Bath have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
