Baseball Recap: Kendrick Takes a Loss

Kendrick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Shaw Raiders, falling 19-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-1 back in March.

Kendrick saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charles Smith, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Kendrick's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Shaw, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-13.

Looking ahead, Kendrick will venture away from home to take on Carver at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.31 runs per game on average), something the Cherokees will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Shaw, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Jordan at 5:30 p.m. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Jackets have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season.
