Baseball Recap: Red Hook's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

Red Hook came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-4 to the Marlboro Central Dukes. The Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Dukes earlier this season, when they won 4-0.

Jackson Milroy and Robert Paschal stepped up to the plate in a big way. Milroy went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Paschal went 1-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple was Paschal's first of the season.

Red Hook moved to 9-6 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Marlboro Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Red Hook will host Pine Plains at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bombers have averaged an impressive 13.5 runs per game this season. As for Marlboro Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Our Lady of Lourdes at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
