Meanwhile, Juneau-Douglas faced Soldotna in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Juneau-Douglas claimed a resounding 63-26 win over Soldotna. The victory was familiar territory for the Crimson Bears who have now won five games in a row.

Juneau-Douglas pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Ketchikan, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
