Basketball Recap: Kenmore West Find Success

Kenmore West hadn't done well against Lancaster recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Kenmore West Blue Devils pulled ahead with a 61-60 photo finish over the Lancaster Legends. Given the Blue Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while the Legends are ranked 678th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kenmore West's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Lancaster, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kenmore West won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Williamsville North at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lancaster, they will host Jamestown at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Jamestown's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
