Baseball Recap: Roane County's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Scott, Roane County was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Poca Dots with a sharp 16-2 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Raiders as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Roane County pushed their record up to 9-12 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Poca, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-21 record this season.

As of now, neither Roane County nor Poca have any future games scheduled.
