Basketball Game Preview: Clinton Red Tornadoes vs. Weatherford Eagles

Clinton is 0-10 against Weatherford since January of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Clinton Red Tornadoes will take on the Weatherford Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Clinton heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Friday. They were outmatched by Tuttle and fell 67-27. While losing is never fun, the Red Tornadoes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 321st, while the Tigers are ranked 85th).

Meanwhile, Weatherford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-37 heartbreaker at the hands of Blanchard.

Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Weatherford, their loss dropped their record down to 13-10.

Clinton was dealt a bruising 72-20 defeat at the hands of Weatherford in their previous meeting back in January. Can Clinton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
