Henry County waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Northwest Vikings a 24-0 shutout. With that win, the Patriots brought their scoring average up to 6.7 runs per game.

Irelynn Beecham was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three).

In other batting news, Breely Peirpoint was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five runs, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Reed Jackson, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Henry County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .689. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Henry County's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Northwest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.
