Volleyball Recap: Mantachie Comes Up Short

Mantachie managed to slip by Belmont the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Mustangs came up short against the Cardinals on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-14, 25-10.

Mantachie has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Belmont, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-13.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mantachie is set to square off against their familiar foe Alcorn Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Belmont will challenge rival Kossuth at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
