Baseball Recap: Empire Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Empire can now relate to. They lost 10-3 to the Yuma Catholic Shamrocks on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Ravens have suffered since April 17, 2024.

Asher Bird made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Empire's defeat dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Yuma Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-2 record this season.

Empire does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Yuma Catholic, they will square off against Kingman on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Shamrocks 1.4, the Bulldogs 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
