            Softball Preview: Madison Trojans vs. Clinton Redwolves        
        
		
        
        
            The Madison Trojans will head out on the road to  challenge  the Clinton Redwolves  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Madison is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5  runs per game  this season.
Madison came into their game  on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost  12-0 to Hanover-Horton. The  game marked the first time this year in which the Trojans were not able to get on the board.

 Madison saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Mya Solis, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base. Solis has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played.
The scorekeeper got an easy start  on Monday as neither Clinton nor Plymouth Christian Academy made it on the board until the seventh inning. The Redwolves came out on top against the Eagles by a score of  4-1.
 Ashlynn Benschoter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Annabell Preston, who  went 3-for-4 with two  runs and one  stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of  Calli Kruger, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  run.
 Madison has  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-4 record  this season. As for Clinton, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
 Madison skirted past Clinton  5-4 when the teams last played  back in April of 2018. Will the Trojans repeat their success,  or do  the Redwolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
