Recap: Valley Patriots vs. Hedley Owls
The Valley Patriots had already won 25 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.1 points), and they went ahead and made it 26 on Tuesday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 59-25 victory over Hedley. Valley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matches by 24 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emberlynn Mullin, who scored 22 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Pigg, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Valley pushed their record up to 26-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Hedley, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.
Valley will head out on the road to challenge White Deer at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. White Deer has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Hedley, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Silverton at 6:00 p.m. Silverton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hedley in Texas (Silverton is ranked 511th, while Hedley is ranked 1521st).
