Baseball Recap: Victory Christian Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Victory Christian Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Laytonville Warriors as they made off with a 13-3 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-3 back in April.

The team relied heavily on Brett Hernandez, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Nathan Philpott was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Victory Christian Academy's record is now 7-9. As for Laytonville, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.
