Recap: Cedaredge Bruins vs. Aspen Skiers
There's no place like home for the Cedaredge Bruins, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They really took it to Aspen for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-22 win at home. That looming 54-22 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Cedaredge yet this season.
Carley Malinowski was her usual excellent self, scoring 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Hanson, who scored three points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
Despite the loss, Aspen still got an impressive performance from Ambler Henderson, who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Henderson has scored all season.
Cedaredge now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Aspen, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with that defeat, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedaredge and Gunnison will face off at 5:30 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Cedaredge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Saturday. As for Aspen, they and Roaring Fork will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Roaring Fork knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Aspen likes a good challenge.
