Football Recap: Mount Vernon Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road + How To Watch

Mount Vernon dropped to 5-2 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They took a 32-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sedro-Woolley Cubs. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cubs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Kaiden Anderson threw for 140 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Bayker Driver was his top target, picking up 71 receiving yards.

As for Sedro-Woolley, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.1 points on average this season.

It was another big night for Kolyn Rochester, who rushed for 183 yards and three scores while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.
